Sophia received her undergraduate degree in Public Health at Franklin and Marshall College and is currently pursuing her MBA at the Gabelli School of business in New York alongside running her own technology startup. Prior to starting her company, she worked with non profits such as UNICEF, Physicians for Human Rights, Afripads, Community Solutions and spent her free time volunteering with Compassus Hospice, Hands Offering Hope Foundation and heading grassroots community efforts to support Liberia with Ebola Relief during the 2014 Ebola Outbreak in West Africa. In 2008 she founded Sounds for Souls with a mission to bring music education to children in Liberia and India, which then pivoted to providing music relief to hospital and hospice patients during the height of the COVID -19 Pandemic in 2019.
She is humbled and excited about the opportunity to join an amazing team of people working towards a common goal of providing hope for a better future to families in Lebanon and hopes to bring her past and present experiences to her work with the Egatha Foundation.
